The division is committed to providing excellence in patient care, research and teaching. We are particularly proud of our residency training program which was initiated by Dr. E.G. King in 1970 and was one of the first critical care training programs in Canada. Our graduates have provided exemplary care to critically ill patients across Canada and around the world.
In recent years we have focused increasingly on research into critical illness and have incorporated research as an important part of residency training and a priority of the Division.
